Motorola Moto G4 Plus review

Motorola Moto G4 Plus review

Moto G4 Plus is one of the two fourth generation Moto Varids Motorola, the best-selling smartphone range of companies ever. This is the first time Motorola (now owned by Lenovo) has launched more than one smartphone in the range of G, with the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.

Compared to ordinary G4 motto, Moto G4 Plus displays a 16MP rear camera that is enhanced by automatic phase detection, laser autofocus and double LED flash. It is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor.

Does the Moto G4 Plus have what it takes to continue the success of the Moto G? Is that enough to get a ‘plus’ moniker? Let’s find out in our official review.

Design

Moto G4 Plus displays removable plastic back, all the front part of the glass and silver finished on the side (also made of plastic).

The body is plastic shamelessly, and the back that can be removed is quite thin and rather bent. The phone does feel good at hand, even though the back is creaking and flexing a little. Smartphones don’t feel close to premium as one add x or even leeco le 1s eco which is much cheaper.

However, being a plastic tool, the G4 motto felt very durable and able to withstand several bumps and beats. In fact, during my test, the smartphone immediately fell to the floor of my jeans pocket and survived, with only a few lumps and bruises.

Moto G4 Plus displays the fingerprint scanner on the front, although the residential square bezel sensor does not act as a home button. Motorola has chosen the capacitive button for the latest home, return and application. It feels rather unnatural and needs time to get used to, because of the habit, I keep hitting the fingerprint scanner to go home. However, it was happy to see how the fingerprint sensor, from being luxury on the last flagships a year ago, slowly became a mainstay, even at the budget price point.

In departing from the previous Moto G generation, which was always a little chunky and thick, the Moto G4 plus slightly thin only 7.7 mm and weighing 154 grams which made sense.

This device has a microUSB 2.0 port at the bottom, the headphone jack above, the power and volume of the button on the left, the rear camera is 13MP along with a double LED flash and a secondary noise cancellation microphone on the back, with fingerprint sensor, primary microphone, front camera 5MP, light sensor and proximity and earpiece on the front.
