SlashGear is recruiting: Join our team!
Slashgear grows, and we are looking for enthusiastic freelance news and feature writers to join our team. Whether you always know about the latest gadgets, top list when friends and family have questions or emergency technology, or just obsessed with what happens in the world of technology, automotive, and science, your expertise can be what we need.
We are looking for news writers and feature writers, crossing the fields of technology, cars and science. Slashgear has extensive remit – we discuss a lot – and we want to bring a series of voices of writers to the site too.
We believe representatives are important, and strongly encourage skin people, members of the LGBTQ + community, veterans, those who are disabled, and individuals from poorly represented groups to register.
What makes a good technology writer?
Enthusiasm, knowledge, and desire to learn. Some segments move as fast as the world of technology, and the automotive category quickly pursues that speed. Being a great writer about one topic is as much as willingness to hunt for big news tomorrow, because it becomes a “expert” on the current gadgets and features.
The best candidates will have at least 3 years of writing experience both for print or web. You will be independent and versatile, used to handle big questions and find out the answer yourself. Just as important, you will be able to explain your discovery with clear, interesting, and entertaining writing.
Speed and focus is very important – the world of technology moves fast, and you should. Your location is not important, and this position functions – from home with clocks flexible and stable.
You can find more information about our work page, and how to register at the news writer and a list of feature writers. We look forward to hearing from you!
