Poco, iQoo plan more brick-and-mortar stores in India – what’s prompting them?

The smartphone brand prepares an offline presence is not new in India. Samsung did it and immediately a Chinese telephone maker followed him with people like Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo preparing a branded shop. Now we have Apple moved with its own experience shops in New Delhi and Mumbai. However, if the latest report will be believed that the country can immediately see another edition of the shop war.

Xiaomi, who started the trend a few years ago, celebrated the 3000th Store last year in August with one launch in Bulandshahr at Uttar Pradesh. Now we heard that Poco, another brand of family, is preparing to set up a shop in India. And they are not alone because the rival of Iqoo brands also goes into action.

Information obtained from Tipster Mapping Sharma by 91mobiles suggested that both Poco and Iqoo can enter offline markets in India during the first quarter of 2022. Of course, it is not clear whether they will prepare exclusive stores or together with their sister Xiaomi brand and Each vivo.

Brands like Xiaomi, Samsung Oppo and Vivo have made a strong offline base in this country. Oppo and Vivo do better by reaching out inland through local level associations with small cellular stores. They updated these small shops with their branding color while not limiting other brand sales.

These brands have been known to launch an exclusive online model in the past, but when most times ensure that most of the total shipping is stored for offline stores too. For brands like Poco and Iqoo, this will be a new experiment, even though both of them can take advantage of the brand skills of their successful sister.

Of course, not only two brands are gung-ho about offline stores. We have a senior Xiaomi official claiming that in 2021, the company plans to have these shops in every country around the world. However, we believe that the pandemic leaves the company offline strategy in ragged, both in China and outside.

A report in Gizchina quoted the Xiaomi General Manager from Henan Province to say that the company was at the shop opening shop in China with 51 new stores would live at the same time on one Sunday. However, what was interesting was Xiaomi claimed 2,500 stores in China, while in India there were 3,000 in 2020.
