Lego’s new most expensive set is also its most boring
Lego has just launched the most expensive set of new, and we already know for sure that we will not wait in line to take it.
The honor of the cheapest Lego model has been given to the new Star Wars Star Wars brand. In the UK it was £ 50 more than the front runner before the Lego Millennium Falcon, although in the US and Australia both sets are the same price. (And while the Super Star Lego destroyer almost doubled from the price, it has been stopped for years – lost but not forgotten.)
Unfortunately, Lego at Lego AT-AU $ 800/00 / AU00 $ 1300 $ 1300. And the Super Mario 64 question mark block.
If you don’t agree with us, you can catch Lego above after launch this weekend on Friday 26 – the same day as Black Friday. While this set might not be included in the sale of Black Friday Lego, we will still recommend acting quickly – not only the new LEGO set is sold quickly but LEGO also runs limited time offers to give free replica buyers Luxaber Luke Skywalker if they buy this set before 29 November.
Opinion: Not comparable to plastic made of
When Lego first introduced this mega-expensive themed set, the bar is set quite high, starting with a scale 1: 1 model from the most iconic star Star Wars, The Millennium Falcon. If you’ve been to LEGO shop anytime in the past few years you will see the display cabinet with an impressive large kit complete with complicated details and a collection of minifigures that represent the character of the original and the sequel trilogy.
Lego follows this with the destroyer of the Imperial Star; The fan is less fan but still a striking model. The details are impressive and once again the size really blows you when you get the chance to see this from close. In fact, including the miniature Tantive IV – the rebel ship brings Leia’s daughter in a new hope that receives a full size set of 1768-piece itself which has since retired – to scale and to help you portray the scene of the series.
We have also been treated to the lego version of Mos Eisley Cantina (where Luke and Ben met Han Solo on Tatooine) and recently Republic Gunship – however, both were launched with cheaper $ 350 / £ 350 / $ 350 / £ 330 each -Masing. And there was a super star destroyer itself, Leviathan 3152-Piece which had been given a surprising price of $ 1,799 / £ 1.590 (around AU $ 2,490) before the termination in 2014.
In comparison, AT-AT is bland gray chaos. The destroyer of the imperial star also suffered because there were too many most boring colors, but at least the complex design of the ship tried to redeem it – besides having legs there not too much.
The saved grace could include the Snowspeeder scale version – the craft used by the Alliance rebels to travel to this Behemoth on HOTH – either as a ship in flight or as a ship that was revealed Luke Skywalker – but unfortunately, we didn’t do it very lucky. (Also can’t be collected: LEGO stops the 1703-piece Rebel Snowspeeder model, but some can be found at increased prices around Amazon.)
If you after our at-on-on model instead recommend a much cheaper that comes with 1,267 pieces with only $ 160 / £ 140 / au $ 250 – although there is no model today that accommodates water into a few years ago -Tar can run.
LEGO must have this set price to be more in line with the Set Lego Cantina and Gunship or choose a more courageous option worthy of a noble price label. One easy choice is to be a slave, an airplane by Boba Fett which will be tied perfectly for the coming Boba Fett book.
