Google Pixel 6a camera may have a Tensor chipset, just like the Pixel 6
The first large 6A pixel leak shows exactly what we all expect: the next middle class cellphone will have a tenset chipset as it is on Google Pixel 6 and 6 pro-potentials even the same.
The details of leakage originating from the 9to5Google investigation into the Google Camera application, which contains references to the device internally blujay, it is said to be a reference to Google Pixel 6A. The news is good, of course, is proof that the cellphone will have the same Google Tensor GS101 chipset as pixels 6 (and not variants – more about it).
It can mean pixels 6A will inherit all features that are only available for pixels 6 and 6 powered tensors, including direct translations carried out on the device, typing the voice of Google Assistant, and more. With extensions, it also has to get other mobile tensor progress flowing in the line in the upcoming Android update.
Less interesting is the detail of the pixel camera 6A 9to5Google said it was extracted – that is that 6A will be missed on the main sensor 50MP 1 / 1.31 inch pixels and even has 12.2MP 1 / 2.55-inch SONY IMX363 sensor cut by telephone company from pixel 3 to pixels 5A. Smaller sensors will capture less light and may have more noise and take poorer night photos than pixels 6.
And the installation of newly released 6A leakage pixels, the phone will maintain the camera block like a visor of the pixel 6 and also only has two rear cameras, main and ultrawide. The last new leakage claim will have the same IMX386 sensor as the Ultrawide camera on the pixel 6, and the camera is facing the same IMX355 8MP.
In short, ultrawide and selfies shooting taken by pixels 6a can look similar to images taken by pixels 6.
Analysis: too tense, or not enough tensor?
Google investment in improving software and machine learning on hardware has allowed new features and benefits to dripping down to a longer pixel phone … until the tensor chipset, which has processing capabilities on devices that allow the features we mentioned above, Like Live Translation.
But evidence emerged earlier in November that Google was experimenting by installing tensor chipsets (versions that have the potential to be early) in the 2020s Google Pixel 5, according to Xda developers. Developers known as Freak07 tweeting findings from diving into pixel sources 6 and find kernel files for variants of the tensor chipset, called internally as GS101.
The variant is referred to as the GS101-B0, which is said to refer to the pixel 6 tensor chipset finally, and the GS101-A0, which is linked to the device with the Whitefin internal code name. The code name has appeared before: Mishaal Rahman Xda tweeted at the end of October that his name could be a Mash-Up Redfin (code name for pixel 5) and Whitechapel (code name for Tensor SOC).
This could mean pixel 5 was originally intended to have Google’s silicon in-house, or that company developers only use current leading cellphones to improve tensor integration to the pixel platform when they complete the flagship pixel 6.
What is the connection with the pixel 6A? So far, we only hear about one tensor chipset, but news from variants can suggest Google has experimented with several versions. That means the silicone that ends in the next middle-class pixels can have the same chipset as it is and compete with it, like the 5G 5G and Pixel 5 pixel has the same specifications so we have trouble recommending the superior priciers. We will know more because further leaks give us a better idea about what comes with pixels 6a.
